My favorite scene will be the moment after Maximus turn his back toward the current emperor, Commodus.As after Maximus remove his helmet and turn his face to Commodus he said, "My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next." After Maximus spoke out, the emperor wanted to slaughter him but it stopped by the chant of the crowd, stopped by the chant of people.
To me this gives me an impact that a person should stood up as for his country, stoop up as a loyal servant, stoop up for his/her family and do the things which he/she will never regret. Teaches me, how a man should live as a man.
