I found out that the architecture for mosque are usually symmetrical balance and in square shape. There have many cursive pattern on their wall and usually are Jawi. Most of the pattern are repetition. Mosque are usually have bigger space to fit in lot of prayer inside. Islamic mosque and China mosque are very different. China mosque usually have a big garden in the mosque. I was surprise that China actually have islamic culture influence. So i went to do some research. The model in the museum about China mosque called Duxuexi lane, Xi'an, China. It actually is the oldest ismalic mosque in China.
This image taken from google. This is the real Dusuexi Lane Mosque. It is a mix culture of Chinese and Islam. As you can see that, the architecture of the mosque is more on Chinese style. After doing some research on this mosque. I know that this mosque is the center place for muslim to pray in China.
As the wall are still decorate with mosque cursive pattern.
Image grabbed via google. This is the picture of the mosque door. If you see clearly, the pillar are craved with cursive pattern. Due to the lack of picture in the internet. I wish i can go to Xi'an and visit this mosque to learn more about how Islam culture went to China and what is the different between China mosque and Islamic mosque as in the interior, content, walls.
There are different Al-quran shown in the museum. Ranging from big to small. The smallest al-quran book catches my attention. I wonder how they write on it.
Scroll from China
I draw this scroll because;-
1. obvious of mix culture, China and Islam
2. To me, its more like using lines to draw, but are actually Jawi phrase.
3. Very detail drawing such as the thickness of lines, the arrangement of lines. the gap between the lines
To be honest, without a tour guide, for some i could not understand because most of it are just name and places where the artefacts from. Nothing much explanation.
